Part One in a series on De-Googlization Tips - the process.

Three steps to get off of Gmail.

1. Go to ProtonMail and sign up for a free encrypted email account

2. Log into your Gmail account and set up email forwarding to send all mail to your new protonmail.com email address.

Click on the gear and choose "Settings", then choose "Forwarding" and under that tab choose "Forward a copy of incoming mail to" and fill in the box with your proton emails address "you@protonmail.com"

3. While in your Gmail account, add an autoresponder with some text like this:

Please use my new email address you@protonmail.com

Your email has already been forwarded to my new address, please update your contacts.  Thank You!!
